Position Summary:

Folio3 is looking for Software QA Engineers for its Canada office who will participate in a project team of engineers involved in the development of software for our next-generation intent-based networking.

Responsibilities:

• Experience with CPU/Memory Management/IO and Virtualization technologies
• Knowledge of the network protocol stack, including L2 switching and IP Routing, TCP/IP
• Prefer strong skills in Python/Perl scripting
• Experience in designing complex systems for scale and high availability
• Possess a working knowledge of L2 and L3 technologies
• Strong understanding of any one of the scripting languages such as Python and strong manual testing capabilities
• Background in one or more of the following areas; Virtualization, open flow, cloud technologies, intelligent network services, and large data center automation/experience

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• At least 5-7 years of software engineering experience
• Problem-solving capabilities in the realm of Layer 2 to Layer 7
• Should be able to own large portions of the software from a technical perspective
• Should have experience in customer deployment
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills and team-building skills
• Be open to continuous learning and committed to ongoing self-improvement
• Initiate and participate in organizational efforts to improve overall group efficiency and test effectiveness
• Contribute to overall test strategies
