As a Lead Functional Consultant, you will lead the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, incorporating client business processes and ensuring successful project delivery.


  • Lead discovery meetings with clients to understand current business processes that need to be incorporated into D365.
  • Hands-on implementation of MS Dynamics 365 F&O solution in any two of the four main areas: Finance, SCM, Manufacturing, and Advanced Warehousing.
  • Validate business practices and processes in Dynamics D365 F&O based on discovery analysis.
  • Manage Dynamics 365FO implementations throughout all project stages including analysis, design, development, testing, and support.
  • Conduct gap/fit analysis to determine differences between application and business processes.
  • Identify creative solutions for processes not fully accomplished by standard D365 F&O.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to customers outlining findings and recommendations to guide implementation.
  • Proactively identify, analyze, and respond to issues and risks.
  • Advise customer organizations on solution usage and creatively configure to minimize gaps between standard product and business processes.
  • Take the consultant role within the application delivery team for D365 F&O, including third-party applications.
  • Maintain quality of implementation, delivery, and knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics D365 F&O.
  • Collaborate closely with other members of service delivery, ERP Team, and other consultants and developers.
  • Work with clients to understand legacy data components and identify appropriate mapping for that data in D365, documenting the mapping for technical staff.
  • Provide onsite and offsite consulting services; offshore experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrate solid business analysis, documentation, and process re-engineering skills.
  • Foster teamwork, mentor, and train consultants on best practices, project methodology, and professional client service.
  • Suggest areas of improvement in methodology and internal processes along with potential solutions, and assist with overall solution architecture.
  • Recognize and pursue opportunities for cross-selling and additional client projects.
  • Participate in pre-sales activities.
  • Design project schedules, set timelines for each team member, and delegate specific tasks to project resources.
  • End-to-end management and coordination of projects, ensuring successful completion within the stipulated budget.
  • Report to management, attend, and conduct project status meetings.
  • Ensure timesheets are entered and processed accurately.
  • Ensure technical aspects of projects meet required standards for functionality, operability, and documentation.
  • Work with project managers and team leaders to manage resource changes across projects.
  • Experience with eCommerce and marketplace integration with ERP and shipment systems is a plus.


  • Minimum 8-10 years of end-to-end ERP implementation experience.
  • Ability to map and configure client business requirements into Microsoft Dynamics 365/AX.
  • Hands-on capability to configure ERP processes where needed.
  • Configure Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Finance, SCM (with Advanced Warehousing), Retail, and Manufacturing modules.
  • Excellent business communication and leadership skills; able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the team’s knowledge base and D365 experience.
  • Knowledge of MS Sure Step implementation methodology.
  • Relevant module certifications or additional certifications are a plus.
