Responsibilities:

• Lead the deployment, management, and optimization of Kubernetes clusters specifically on GCP.
• Containerize applications and microservices for scalable and efficient deployment using GKE.
• Utilize Terraform and Ansible to design, implement, and manage infrastructure on GCP.
• Maintain IaC templates and ensure version control and code quality.
• Develop and maintain scripts (Python, Bash, or others) to automate routine tasks and streamline operations.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery. (Google Cloud Build is preferred).
• Architect and design scalable, secure, and resilient systems on GCP.
• Implement best practices for cloud security, monitoring, and cost optimization.
• Set up robust monitoring and alerting systems to ensure high availability and reliability of services.
• Implement SRE practices to prevent, detect, and mitigate incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and provide DevOps expertise.
• Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• Possess over 4 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specializing in its core services and infrastructure management.
• Highly reliable in terms of availability, must be available during late hours PKT time, providing overlap with the Philippines .
• Hands on with on Cyber security with any relevant certification would be a plus.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on Kubernetes, containerization, and IaC.
• Expertise in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash) and automation tools.
• High proficiency in debugging, building architectures and troubleshooting.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with modern software development practices and Agile methodologies.
