Business Development Executive

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business by identifying and pursuing potential clients, as well as maintaining relationships with existing clients. The Sales Representative will work closely with our software development team to understand the capabilities and offerings of our company and will be responsible for presenting these to potential clients in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify prospects in the AgTech industry in North America. These include companies in the cattle and crop production and management space.
  • Reach out to identified prospects through rigorous outbound calling efforts and by creating/executing strategic email, LinkedIn, and social media campaigns.
  • Follow-up on any referrals share by the business team and leads generated by inbound and outbound marketing campaigns.
  • Perform analysis of inbound and outbound prospects’ business and share analysis with the business team every week.
  • Identify business opportunities and share feedback with the business and product teams.
  • Build a top-of-funnel pipeline by setting introductory meetings with target influencers and key decision-makers and giving a walkthrough of the Folio3 AgTech’s client portfolio.
  • Apply effective communication skills, collaborating directly with customers, business, and engineering teams.
  • Logging the contacts in Netsuite and ensuring the accuracy of the report generated from there.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, take the initiative to get stuff done, try new things, and amplify your successes by sharing your findings with your team.

Requirements:

  • A passion for technology and software sales, 2-3 years (overall 4+ yrs) of customer-facing experience is preferred.
  • Ability to develop strong, long-lasting relationships (both internal and external).
  • A sense of urgency and the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
  • The ability to thrive in a rapidly moving and changing company environment.
  • Resourcefulness and results-driven operating style.
  • Collaborative and coachable mindset – you should be excited about continuously improving your skills and impact.
  • Has a tendency to do more with less and also has bias correction.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
